Interviewing for RED or something may be faster, but this is also an option. Depending on how much you want it and how much time you are willing to spend, or if you decide to take another route, you may get in much quicker than this. The entire process from joining TorrentLeech to joining PHD and BHD took 10 months, but I was only "active" during half of those months. Then, if you're lucky, PHD or BHD will open up applications (which they both did like 5 weeks ago) and you can use the ratio proof from blutopia, as well as from your semi-private trackers, to get in. Then you can upload a bunch to get a lot of upload. blutopia is a movies and tv tracker that open applications every now and then.
then get into something like blutopia using ratio proofs from those trackers. One possible way to get into to PHD and BHD is to first join semi-private trackers (in my case it was TorrentLeech and others).
